My past experience has offered me a wide variety of learning opportunities. From working in a warehouse to driving trucks to working in construction, I've seen a lot of different perspectives on how challenges can be overcome, and I gained a lot of knowledge through those experiences. After years of being a part of a team that gets the work done, I'm finally pursuing a career that allows me to be a part of the planning process. Currently, I'm taking the Google Project Management Certification, and I'm excited about the opportunities to learn and to keep growing. For example, I wasn't always good at listening to people if they talked to me in a way I didn't like, but working at BCR, I learned to listen to those who knew better than me. Even if their delivery wasn't ideal. I enjoyed working with my hands and watching a building take shape from the ground up. It was challenging to work in different conditions and learn to adapt to the environment to continue getting work done. However, I didn't appreciate the uncertainty that that type of job brings. I like having a schedule and a clear plan to ensure a successful day. My current job offers the ability to see my family more without giving up hours. While I don't find the work fulfilling, I appreciate the opportunity to see my family and the flexibility to pursue my interests in project management. I also wouldn't be able to complete the certification I'm taking without their support and flexibility. They really believe in investing in their people.I might not have the experience or education that others do, but my determination and dedication are what make me stand out. I'm not just here for a paycheck but to find something that makes a difference and be a better man for my job and my family.
