Profile bio

About Charles ("Chuck") Zito

Business and Art. This phrase best describes my work history. Along with the novels and plays, I’ve spent time working at everything from office manager to EDGAR operator. In San Diego at Diversionary Theatre as the Executive Artistic Director, I combined both aspects. It takes both detailed precision and a broader vision (both artistic and institutional) to turn a failing small non-profit that is thousands of dollars in debt into a thriving half-million dollar a year operation. Order Out of Chaos: Whether it’s project, office, or institutional management; or pulling together the threads of a story line, bringing order to disparate elements is a task I always welcome. My experience large projects such as producing theatre, writing novels, and institutional management; and smaller projects such as document control, temporary staffing; and event planning. The Skills To Do It: Exemplary communication skills both written and oral. Organizational skills include a high level of research and problem solving abilities. Ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines under pressure. Experience with budgeting, payroll processing, advertising, and personnel supervision. At ease with public speaking and presentations. Software: Quickbooks, GoFiler (EDGAR), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro.

Listed skills include Public Speaking, Nonprofit Organizations, Creative Writing, Writing, and 2 others.
