Position Summary: Responsible for set up and maintenance of suppliers, reporting to the regional category leader. Work closely with all enabling functions (such as planning/scheduling) and responsible for completing the day to day operational management tasks for suppliers assigned.Key operational activities include dispute resolution, problem solving and developing commercial solutions, necessitating a more senior interaction with the supplier base.Identifying, developing and contracting with new suppliers, requiring a knowledge of the sector and available technologies. Responsible for developing sourcing strategies, working closely together with the global team and other internal stakeholders.Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring that suppliers comply with all commercial and legal aspects of contracts. Also required to set up and negotiate new contracts with existing and new suppliers.Overall responsibility for the operational performance of the suppliers allocated.Supports internal customers in the resolution of any supplier related quality or service issues.Develop and ensure execution of appropriate risk management strategies to assure supply. First point of contact for dispute resolution with suppliers where an incidence of non-conformance with the contract has arisen, particularly where financial penalties are likely to accrue.Engaged in the budgeting process, being the principal conduit for the financial community during the budgeting processConducts full performance reviews of suppliers against their contractual obligations using KPI reports provided. Attend all major internal and external meetings concerning on-going and future supplier specifics of performance, issue resolution, volume transfers or ramp-up/ramp down, new product introduction or discontinuations, and any aspects of commercial management• 25 years experience in negotiating with suppliers within a diagnostics manufacturing environment

OEM Supplier Management – Domestic & International: • Contract initiation and review with new and existing suppliers, looking for “win-win” outcomes while insuring the best possible position for the company;• Direct and supervisory responsibility to maintain all aspects of material flow including new product implementation (NPI) and sustaining purchase orders for finished goods, accessories and spare parts;• Supported internal customers including supplier quality assurance, accounts payable, supply chain logistics and OEM repair departments as the main point of contact to assist in resolving financial and quality issues; • Teamed with sales, finance and operations planning to insure supply of products to meet sales needs. Core Products Raw Material Supplier Management – Domestic & International: • Direct and supervisory responsibility to maintain all supply aspects for both diagnostic instrumentation and complex consumables;• First point of contact for all supply chain, supplier quality and accounts payable issues; • On-site location visits to insure and communicate future growth and raw material diagnostics importance to production site floor personnel and management.
