I direct a 14-member vocal jazz ensemble at UC Berkeley, including leading rehearsals, arranging or selecting repertoire, holding sectionals, running auditions, and coordinating fundraising and promotional events and performances.

I teach guitar privately to students of a variety of ages and levels (kids, teens, and adults beginner to intermediate). I emphasize theoretical understanding and ensure my students have strong foundations in reading, ear training, and improvisation. I have significant experience teaching remotely through Zoom (3 years of weekly online lessons with a student in New York). I have also given lessons in bass guitar and ukulele, and have some experience teaching voice.

I taught individual and group lessons in guitar, piano, and ukulele to a variety of ages, focusing on developing strong reading, practice, and musicianship skills while preparing students for regular recitals.
