• System Development of a 16 Channel I/O Tester for Hughes Aircraft. VXI based with individually programmed I/O for selecting input/output and protocol.• Developed the system engineering specification for the programmable FPGA COMSEC device (Hayfield). Missing or incorrect documentation, developed c-code by reverse engineering the TMS320C5X ASM.

• Process Improvements - Active participant in an IPD team for defining new processes for product development at ITT. This new process acknowledged the need for increased quality, reduced cycle time and critical issues for successful products. Team leader of the tools group, which was responsible for tool selection/integration with the new process. Initiated efforts to achieve system SEI rating.• Internal Research and Development - Responsible for budget which is focused on bus-based communication equipment, architectures, embedded COMSEC architectures, low bit rate speech algorithms and modem waveform development.• Responsible for product development of communications equipment which includes NSA certification of embedded COMSEC, algorithm development and real-time embedment of signal processing algorithms and digital signal processor architectures.

• Lead systems engineer for the product development of AIRTERM, KY-100. This development used the VINSON, KY-58 form factor and enhanced/updated its performance. The new features included Software Baseband/Diphase Modem, NVIS LCD Display/Front Panel, user friendly menu driven operations, combined VINSON and MINTERM, KY-99 performance parameters and multiplex I/O into one box.• Assumed leadership role of Peace Shield product development which included seven different communication terminals developed for Saudi Arabia.• Assisted marketing on presentations and demonstrations of new products for US and foreign customers.
