Responsible for strategic planning of merger, acquisition, and divestiture activities within a large portion of the Business Technology Solutions (IT) team, which includes HR, Finance, ERP/SAP, Corporate, Compliance, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement systems. Role also includes leading the development and maturation of M&A playbooks and other processes / capabilities for these technology teams.

Chief of Staff and PMO Head for the Finance & Corporate IT team of 60 employees, who were responsible for the IT ecosystems supporting the global Finance, HR, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, & Corporate Affairs functions. Reporting to the Global Vice President of Finance & Corporate IT, worked closely with his leadership team of 10 Directors and Sr. Directors and their teams to plan investments in line with strategic objectives, manage costs, drive consistent project management and governance standards, and ensure successful delivery across the organization.Notable Contributions:• Investment Planning and Monitoring: strategically plan and track IT investments for a 40+ project portfolio and operational budget totaling $90M. Requires continual collaboration with Finance & Corp IT leadership teammates, other IT teams/functions, and Finance business partners.• Directly managed a team of 4+ Project and Program Managers: overseeing strategic project vision and compliance with all outlined policies and IT Governance requirements and processes.• Project Management Office (PMO) lead: overall responsibility for the team’s project portfolio and prioritization. This includes reviewing all project business cases and leading them through the IT Architecture Review Board and the IT Investment Value Board for approval.• Integration & Divestiture Lead: member of the I&D IT Leadership team, with responsibility for planning and on going management of a 3-year $110M Integration / Restructuring portfolio of projects specific to Finance & Corporate IT systems, as a result of the $70B acquisition of Shire Pharmaceuticals by Takeda.• AWS Migration Lead: plan and lead the migration of 40+ Corp IT applications from on premise data centers to Amazon Web Services (AWS), working closely with our Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Center of Excellence teams, as well as external implementation partners and technology vendors.

Defined and outlined new corporate objectives to support changes in company-wide programs. Identified key stakeholders and fostered relationships with senior HR leaders to support the direction of high-priority efforts to reshape the current organizational structure. Led assessments and discovery sessions in alignment with strategic visions and plans. Notable Contributions: • Implemented the strategy and plan for a $20M consolidation effort for two global Workday platforms, which guided the transformation of the system into a single instance within a two-year timeframe. • Designed and architected a $1M novel interim solution aimed at syncing two Workday platforms to provide the organization with a more consistent view of the HR teams; enabling a reduction in the complexity of varied programs.• Monitored short-term and long-term projects and met all deliverable, scope, and timeline requirements despite continuously evolving environmental changes.

Leveraged project management expertise to oversee projects across a variety of departments within cross-functional domains. Implemented best practices to mitigate project risks, monitor schedules, and promote clear communication paths amongst leaders and stakeholders. Reviewed, approved, and recorded all project change requests. Notable Contributions: • Partnered with Global Head of ERP Systems and stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, and Corporate Services functions to effectively plan a $10M project, which led to a 700% ROI as a result of the implementation of a tax-efficient U.S. Sales Entity Structure in SAP.• Facilitated efforts to combine HR systems between companies post-merger to streamline consolidation of resources and rebuild internal programs. • Directed procurement programs for the migration of legacy Ariba Spend Analytics to a new platform, increasing system performance and reliability.• Collaborated with 50+ teams to implement, design, build, and integrate more than 110 system interfaces within Workday; results from interfaces indicated that more than 95% of interfaces were stable within one month of the go-live date.

Acted as a liaison between stakeholders across different levels within the business. Served as a critical part of a variety of teams during 3-year CIO-sponsored IT Leadership Program, which solidified knowledge of various teams and technical systems. Notable Contributions: • Oversaw a project aimed at implementing mobile visualization tools for more than 200 Sales Representatives, which streamlined management of internal sales data to better assess performance. • Led the Connection Health Strategy research and development initiative aimed at securing new plans for next-generation products; conducted fit-gap analysis for market requirements and developed marketing websites and materials.
