Responsible for leading transformation of Gavi's core operation, grant management. This multi-year project will bring streamlined processes, centralised data and an integrated suite of digital solutions, making Gavi’s grant management significantly quicker, more predictable, efficient and user-friendly – and, ultimately, help Gavi reach more children with life-saving vaccines, faster.

o Responsible for Gavi's programmes across Asia Pacific (16 countries), with additional responsibility for East & Southern Africa (another 16 countries) from February 2020.o Oversight of grants (vaccines, health system strengthening and technical assistance) of approximately $600 million annually, to deliver programme objectives whilst managing risk.o Crisis-management and/or political engagement around in particular PNG's state-capacity, South Sudanese conflict, Rohingya refugees and Myanmar's 2021 coup; humanitarian support to DPRK; graduation of Indonesia and other countries; Gavi's partnership with India.o Management of teams of up to 23 (most P4/P5 Senior Country Managers), coaching high performers and managing poor performance when needed.o Close, joint working with partners: national governments and intergovernmental bodies, UN agencies and bilateral and multilateral donors; private sector and civil society.o Central contribution to a major change management process to transform Gavi's engagement with countries, to focus on the highest impact countries, or complex fragile or conflict countries.o Oversight across the regions of Covid-19 immediate relief and response, vaccine delivery and rebuilding of primary healthcare services
