Work included integrating XML-based REST services, setting up the persistent login system (including OAuth and CAPTCHA support), assisting QA's to diagnose regressions and analysing outages surfaced to the client via Wireshark. Working on version 3 of the BBC's embedded media player. Utilised in iPlayer and to play the majority of streaming and progressive (VOD and Linear) content on the BBC websites. AS3, OOP and Pure MVC.

Developed the second version of the BBC's embedded audio and video player. ActionScript 2.0 (MVC), 3.0 (PureMVC Multicore, Pipes) and OOP techniques.

In conjunction with another developer built the first tactical release (v1) of iPlayers' Embedded Media Player. Along with the supporting website this won a BAFTA award for Interactive Innovation - Service / Platform, 2007/08.

Working as the sole developer built GUI prototypes for usability testing of redesigns of the BBC’s Interactive Menu’s (red button service). Worked with departments including iPlayer, BBC Sport, and Archive.

Working to creative brief developed Radio 1’s Visualisation 3G Trial application. App loads various XML feeds (current playlist, schedule, image gallery and configuration), three of which are required to be queried regularly for updates. Displays iPod style current track information, schedule images and animated Radio Ident based on currently broadcasted sound levels from Radio 1.
