I discovered stock investing at 14 while running my first small business. By high school, I was deeply fascinated by how markets operate—what drives them, why they move, and who the major players are. Throughout college, I spent more time in front of charts than I did in class. I enjoyed the thrill of challenging consensus and directly taking the opposing side of an idea, which perfectly fed my competitive nature. Over time, I honed my skills and eventually ventured into algo trading, even building my own systems.I attended UND, double-majored in Finance and Entrepreneurship, and graduated a year early with plans to trade professionally. But once I grasped Bitcoin, it completely derailed my plans. My obsession with Bitcoin became so strong that I shifted my focus entirely, taking a job at a Bitcoin mining operation during college. I spent those years working hands-on with nearly 20MW of mining capacity on-grid, gaining great experience and getting a sense of how the technology worked.Bitcoin held my full attention for years, and it still does, but lately, MicroStrategy has become my favorite subject to learn about. It’s the perfect combination of Bitcoin and traditional finance—easily the most fascinating thing in the markets right now. My interest in MicroStrategy has pushed me to dive deeper into convertible debt, bonds, and options markets, expanding my knowledge beyond anything I’d originally planned.Now semi-retired, I spend my time advocating for Bitcoin, making money in the markets, and reading. I enjoy listening to music, meditating, and eating steak. I’ve recently picked up chess and French, with plans to learn guitar and relearn piano next.
