Charlie Eckert is an archival researcher doing research, rights and clearance for documentary films and other projects. He previously worked as a photojournalist and videographer covering breaking news, features and investigative stories in the U.S. and abroad. He contributed reporting, research and videography to a New York Times/Frontline investigation on fantasy sports. His past coverage has included the war in Afghanistan, Haiti's 2010 earthquake, Andrew Cuomo's 2011 gubernatorial campaign and veteran homelessness in New York. His 2008 photograph of a Taliban prisoner in Zabul Province won a New York Press Photographers Association award. Charlie contributed to Newsday's coverage of superstorm Sandy, which won a New York Press Club award, and an investigation of the Long Island Rail Road that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Medal for Public Service. He lives in New York.
