Charlie is a trial lawyer and was, from 1989 to 2014, managing partner of the Dayton law firm of Faruki Ireland & Cox P.L.L., where he concentrated his practice in business litigation. He has spoken to various professional groups on topics including antitrust and competitive torts, intellectual property issues, ethics and professionalism, trial skills, class actions, evidence, insurance, and federal practice and procedure issues. Charlie received his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from The Ohio State University College of Law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Bar Foundation, and of the Ohio State Bar Foundation, and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is a former Chair of the Federal Courts and Practice Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association, and is past President of both the Dayton Bar Association and of the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and was chair of the Bar Examination Committee of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Charlie is a member of the Dayton, Ohio State, and American Bar Associations. Specialties: Charlie has extensive experience leading complex multiparty litigation, & in the trial of cases, including fast-track cases such as injunction cases; working in joint defense and joint counsel groups; and in developing strategy and tactics for the successful prosecution or defense of business cases.
