In this role, I have been working alongside the Enterprise Architect to develop the architecture function within Bristol Airport The role has been focused on the planning, delivery, and stabilisation of new and existing IT systems within the Airport, working with both internal & external customers and alongside suppliers. As part of developing the new architecture function, I have been involved in delivery of an Enterprise Architecture Toolset (LeanIX), which has enabled the ability to build Business Capability Maps, a true picture of the application landscape and application & product roadmaps. Alongside this I have matured the Design Process for the business and integrating this into the Enterprise Design Authority as well as the 3rd party Managed Service Provider. General day to day activities have involved working with Cloud technologies, such as Office 365 and Azure to prototype future product use cases, engagement with key business stakeholders on project feasibility, tender preparation, and business problem solutions. Acting as the Lead Consultant for Solution Design and Delivery for the RNLI, I managed a team of 5 permanent consultants to aid in the design and delivery of critical technology projects to the RNLI. As lead consultant, I was the subject matter expert in several technologies for the RNLI, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 (Office 365) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Also implemented a successful Joomla front end interface and migrated mysql database over to a new server in 2007. Running Invision software have also created some modified applications for this software. In 2010 I successfully managed to migrate over from Invision to Vbulletin. Have since started an upgrade process for the Front Page to make it more user friendly and also starting to use SEO Techniques to develop the site further.
