Freeformers is a digital transformation startup with the mission of building a digital economy for all. My role as a Senior Learning Strategist was to lead programmes to improve employee mindset, skillset, and behaviours. Our main clients were Facebook, government and banking organisations. Working here gave me a useful methodology to measure the business impact of Learning and Development interventions. I was also able to experience the culture and necessary activities of operating in startup environment. This included developing new ways of working and coaching less experienced colleagues in a relatively 'flat' hierarchy.

PA Consulting is one of the world's biggest professional consulting firms.As part of the Learning & Performance Innovation team, I led learning strategy, digital transformation and innovative learning design projects to help PA clients modernise learning, improve employee performance, leadership behaviours and create a better experience for their people at work. It brought together all the things I love about audience-focused digital thinking, content marketing, social media, user experience design and agile project management to make a difference.

BP is one of the world's leading international oil and gas companies.I worked in the Learning Innovation and Technology team helping colleagues introduce modern marketing techniques into their capability development programmes. I also supported two of BP's global digital transformation projects. As an organisation BP was moving from an organisation offering primarily face to face training, to one where programmes are digitally "blended" and focus more on on-the-job support. My role included a range of strategic and tactical activities including supplier management, community management, copywriting, asset management, content planning, programme instructional design, game development and gamification, project management, video production and post-production, event management, distance learning consultancy and delivery on Webex or Adobe Connect, web and app development.

BEcause is a UK Experiential and Digital Marketing agency.Working in an agency was an intense and rewarding experience which taught me a great deal. I was responsible for managing a community of 1000+ field staff which included communications, payroll and logistical planning. In addition, I provided pitch support, direct-mail, social media and copywriting on a number of experiential marketing campaigns for various blue-chip clients (Heineken, British Gas, Maxxium, Department of Health).

Freedom to Insure is a medium sized insurance brokerage.My experience at Freedom to Insure was a real eye-opener and invaluable in my own understanding of how to get the best results from a team. I made all the mistakes most inexperienced managers will and this was a key learning experience. My work in marketing and at BP has given me plenty of role models and awareness of what I need to be successful in future. I led a team of six sales staff working to understand and address customer queries and complaints with their insurance cover.
