I’m a policy specialist and lawyer, with fourteen years’ experience working on projects in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.As Program Director at Lead Exposure Elimination Project, I oversee our work across more than 20 countries, advising governments and working with industry to reduce lead poisoning, which affects 1 in 3 children worldwide. We are on track to prevent lead poisoning for millions of children across the world. Before LEEP I was International Legal Adviser at Redress, where I was The Times newspaper’s Lawyer of the Week for my role in securing the release of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe from captivity in Iran. I've given expert evidence before the UK House of Commons' Foreign Affairs Committee and the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights. I was previously an Associate at the law firm Freshfields, an intern at the UN, and a Steering Committee member for Oxfam Lawyers Against Poverty.I studied Law at Oxford (BA), and International Law and African Politics at SOAS (MA).
