With over a year working on Osmium and now a senior developer, my contributions have entailed:◾ As the code lead for the Iris project, I've played a pivotal role in transforming the existing Osmium ESP32 code into a well-structured, modular codebase within the IDF. This transformation enables functions such as controlling GPIO and native pulse counters for power monitoring. The code's design is hierarchical, with elemental operations defined in versatile self-contained functions at a low level, improving maintainability and efficiency. ◾ Helping to develop a system for the Osmium Technical team, focusing on speed, code manageability, and well-tested releases, essential in the startup software landscape.◾ Contributed to cost savings by optimising packet transmission processes and providing guidance on efficient data flow and system design. These enhancements enhance overall system efficiency and result in substantial cost reductions, ensuring optimal value for our clients and stakeholders.◾ Creating bespoke client-specific user interfaces by leveraging PHP, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS. My work spanned both front-end development with a 'mobile-first' approach and back-end implementation using PHP and AWS technologies, such as DynamoDB, to address diverse client requirements.
