As hands-on project manager I manage and participate in the development of the oneTLed technology, a LED tube retrofit technology with the potential to save 600 TWh of energy (=150 power plants) per year. Responsible for:- Day-to-day coordination of the engineering work in the electrical engineering and testing team (using Scrum and Prince2 methodology);- Coordinating the product development with an ODM manufacturer in China;- Mechanical engineering/industrial design of the product;- Developing In-house test-equipment/software and (test) data processing tools;- Aftercare for customers (about 100k products installed);- Maintaining high levels of team happiness;

Amsterdam

Developing a low-tech vertical gardening product, aimed at urban dwellers that would like to grow their own vegetables and herbs on the limited outdoor space they have, with minimum hassle. Also a larger-size version of the product was developed to install on primary schools along with lessons to instruct the kids.

In the 2012 edition of De Nationale DenkTank the aim was to analyse the current food chain and realise solutions for a sustainable food chain in the Netherlands. I have worked on a sustainability analysis of soy and soy certification, as well as researched alternative protein crops. Currently I am focussing on consumer-oriented solutions for a sustainable food chain. Through these solutions we strive to narrow the gap between (urban) residents and the way their food is produced, in order to raise awareness of the complexity and (non)sustainability of the food production system.

Rotterdam

I have guided tours through the museum, its archive and the city of Rotterdam for children, adults, companies, sponsors, etcetera. Additionally, I have done architecture workshops with children.
