Together with fiver of my classmates, we set-up and ran a small boutique consulting team that provided high-quality and cost-effective solutions to our clients. This served to both developing our consulting skills and fund also our studies.We won and delivered £150k of business in 3 months, including a FinTech market entry strategy for an IT services firm and helped the British Library forecast programmes costs and investment needs for a new national campaign.

In partnership with HM Treasury, the CO takes the lead in certain critical policy areas to support the Prime Minister and ensure the effective running of government.My most interesting work included established a new public/private joint venture to reform the UK Government's efficiency in management of its £22bn debt balance, whilst separately helping social entrepreneurs within Local Authorities take control of their services to drive service improvements.

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) was the organisation responsible for overseeing the planning and development of the 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.In the most exciting professional experience of my career, led the delivery 80,000 bed nights for our staff across the UK, wrote reports for the government on the operational readiness of our 32 fantastic competition venues, and coordinated cross-functional, time-critical incident management during the Games themselves.

Standard Bank Plc is an emerging markets focused investment bank and a leader in Africa, where it has operations in over 17 countries.I spent 5 years at Standard Bank, initially on an Operations Graduate Programme, learning the fundamental knowledge of a bank's back-office functions, before progressing through the organisation to be an Associate in the Investment Banking, Debt Products team.I managed a diverse portfolio for corporations based in emerging markets including: $250m agricultural portfolio & a $150m credit-linked note portfolio in Sub-Saharan Africa, a $30m carbon credit portfolio (South Africa & Mexico) & an advisory role to an US Government agency on investing in the world’s largest undeveloped copper mine (Mongolia). Key requirements for the role included sourcing sales opportunities, client management, building financial models, managing risk and co-ordinating deal execution.I founded and Chaired the Corporate Social Responsibility Board, driving it to become a strategic pillar of the organisation.
