I completed a 6 week research internship within the Kitching Group at Durham University. I was given the task to investigate the phenomenon of conglomerate crystallisation and to rationalise the functional groups and structural motifs that contribute to the occurrence of spontaneous resolution. During this project I gained valuable experience in organic synthesis, producing high quality organic crystals, solving structures using X-Ray Crystallography and fully characterising a variety of functional groups in a suitable way for publication.
