Founded Songbird, a nonprofit youth volunteer group that now is international. The middle school, high school, and college-aged members bring the joy of music to and conduct volunteer service activities for the sick, poor, and homeless. Orchestrated a vigorous recruiting campaign in which Songbird has grown from seven members to multiple chapters all over the Northeastern United States and in Canada and China. Organized a series of “Stay at Home” services during which Songbird members performed via Zoom for seniors confined to nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Helped manage and organize campaign workflow and assigned turfs for canvassers, planned events and worked closely with candidates, updated social media pages, generated support for local legislation, developed policies to help local communities.

Worked closely with and on Tom Malinowski's campaign, ran small grassroots campaigns, tracking current legislation and amendments moving through the congressional process, maintaining vote and target grids, research on candidates, data entry, preparing meeting, briefing, and presentation materials.

This one-of-a-kind Democratic Fellowship—founded by Congressman Jamie Raskin but now undertaken across the country—teaches high school and college students state-of-the-art tactics in voter registration and political organizing, the dynamic history of political and social change in our country, and essential lessons for political leadership.

Helped to organized and coordinate Family and Friends Weekend logistics at Wellesley College, communicated with visiting parents about Wellesley, planned materials for events and lectures

Required me to speak to strangers on the streets of Brooklyn, inform them about the issue VOCAL was then addressing - building drug rehabilitation centers - and persuade them to join the organization and make a minimum monthly donation. Despite an onerous requirement that staffers worked on a trial basis until they enrolled a considerable number of new members who pledged financial support, I managed to become an official staff member in only a week and a half.
