Hi! I’m Charl, a producer, director, and writer specializing in TV and digital media. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of crafting numerous lifestyle and reality shows for various South African channels and national brands such as Capitec, Tiger Brands, and Clover.Some highlights of my work on TV include “Classic Celebrations” on SABC 1, which reached over 2 million viewers weekly in 2022. Additionally, in 2021, I had the honour of writing and directing the SAFTA award-winning Season 2 of “The Taste Master SA”, a baking competition reality show that showcased the culinary talents of passionate foodies across South Africa. These experiences have not only refined my technical skills as a producer and director but also strengthened my ability to connect with audiences through storytelling, using food as a medium to bring people together.As a co-founder of The Content Studio, based in the culinary heart of the Cape Winelands in Franschhoek, I merge my two greatest passions: storytelling and food. Our company specialises in comprehensive content creation services for culinary and hospitality brands. This includes video production, photography, recipe development, and creative consulting.Beyond my professional adventures, I’m deeply passionate about music, comedy, cooking, and the great outdoors.
