About Charlotta Eriksson

I am an environmental epidemiologist with a background in public health and health promotion. Currently, I hold a position as Epidemiologist at the Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine, Region Stockholm, and as a Senior Researcher (20%) at the Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institutet.I have a keen interest in the associations between the environment and public health and specialize in health consequences of urban living. My primary research interests are health effects of traffic noise, air pollution and greenness with a particular focus on cardio-metabolic diseases. Since 2023, I am the principal investigator of the Stockholm Environmental Health Program, with the overall aim to assess and develop strategies for building a sustainable city, promoting equitable public health among inhabitants of urbanized areas.
