As Student Research Assistant for the Bagley College of Engineering, I conduct research and development for the construction and use of a uniaxial dynamic loading bioreactor for observation and measurement of bone cell growth to improve bone implants. My work entails researching the viability of building an efficient, effective bioreactor with low-cost materials. I've also been selected as the lead research assistant responsible for developing the structural design.I'm currently implementing a project for a toe-angle detachment device with load cell, stepper motor, and inclinometer to rotate the plate to determine the position angle for the fall-off threshold.

Selected for a paid internship at a leading engineering firm, I created 1K+ risk forms for various projects across the globe to support key project managers. I built 4 different templates for risk forms to distinguish projects and categories. My role also involved delivering critical support for a retention pond delineation project utilizing Civil 3D. Finally, I drew berm lines around small bridge structures to support bridge stability using MicroStation.

Through this internship, I shadowed and supported 4-5 engineers in the field. I visited sites needing maintenance or repair including lift stations, pumping stations, and treatment centers to assess and troubleshoot situations. I crafted and submitted quarterly reports for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on a major repair project, updating FEMA on project progress, schedule, deliverables, and expenses to ensure compliance. I also tracked invoices on major contracts and projects and resolved accounting issues. Through this experience, I developed a deeper knowledge of utility issues, processes, and solutions.

I worked on a collaborative team of 6 to record accurate data using marine robots, navigating an ever-changing climate while researching and developing prototypes to address marine robotics issues.

I instructed beginner riders on horseback riding and led horseback groups on trail rides while learning Spanish.
