About Charlotte Batty

TV producer, journalist, social media manager - whatever you want to call me, I work hard to find new ways to creatively tell stories that are engaging. I grew up as a proud Adelaidian, studying a Bachelor of Media, Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the University of Adelaide. I went on to work as a journalist and producer on a number of national TV shows at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in Adelaide and Melbourne. 📺My internet addiction then led me to a career in social media. In my previous position as a Social Media Producer at the ABC, I was responsible for managing ABC Adelaide’s Facebook (273.5k followers), Instagram (61.3k followers) and Twitter (87.6k followers) accounts for the news division. I then went on to work as the Senior Social Media Adviser for the Department for Education, South Australia, where I got to showcase the amazing work of our state's students and teachers each day. 🙌I'm now back at the ABC (something keeps drawing me back!) as a Producer on children's news program, Behind the News, where I'm currently producing our daily show, BTN Newsbreak. When I'm not reading up on news, current events and a healthy dose of celeb gossip, you’ll likely find me trying Adelaide's newest brunch spot 🥑, stalking cute dogs on the 'gram 🐶 or treading the boards of your local theatre. 🎬
