Since I began working at EIB Grenelle, I have taught Kindergarten and First Grade. At present, I teach First Grade and am also responsible for developing the English curriculum. Furthermore, I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead in the school.The school follows the French curriculum and operates a fully bilingual teaching programme with 50% of the classes in English and 50% in French.I am adept at finding and tailoring resources to suit the needs of the children. The children are at varying stages in their academic journeys in English and I ensure that the needs of all children in my care are met. This position requires a team spirit as well as being able to work independently and show initiative. I have formed excellent relationships with my colleagues and we form a supportive team, sharing knowledge and taking inspiration from each other. Since joining the school, I have introduced a new reading scheme and have been happy to help with extra curricular activities. The school is committed to integrating STREAM projects in class and I am mindful of this when planning my lessons. As in all positions I have held, my priority is that my pupils are happy and making progress. I aim to instil a love of learning that will continue through their lives.My role developing the curriculum involves translating the French curriculum into English, ensuring progression and consistency across all stages of the Primary and creating resources to support teaching and learning. I have developed an in-depth understanding of the French teaching programme and support the teaching staff to implement the curriculum in English.As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, I work with my colleagues to ensure the well-being of the students. I am responsible for safeguarding and child protection and promote wellbeing initiatives within the school. I keep up to date records and regularly liaise with parents, pupils and staff.

Whilst working at Hutchesons' Grammar, a leading independent co-educational day school, I taught in the middle, lower and upper school stages.As a class teacher, I was responsible for differentiated programmes of work in literacy, numeracy, social studies, science. A very important part of my role also involved cultivating the emotional, physical and social well-being of the children in my care. In my pastoral position as Head of House, I reinforced the ethos of the school and supported children from the beginning to the end of their primary schooling. I promoted leadership opportunities for the children, through whole school events and the creation of a Leadership Award. Furthermore, I developed a system of monitoring pupil participation and achievement in extra curricular activities.As a dedicated member of staff, I was involved in whole school projects, including curriculum development, as well as being committed to a variety of extra-curricular activities.

During my time at Carolside Primary, I taught Primary 1 and Primary 2. In this role, I was responsible for implementing programmes of work across all areas of the curriculum. I ensured differentiation of classwork appropriate to pupils' abilities and cultivated the children's well-being. I was involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities as well as an active member of several Working Parties dedicated to whole school development. I worked closely with colleagues and parents to provide the best education for the children and help them to flourish.
