Charlotte is a Senior Associate at Solomons and has worked on a range of civil and commercial litigation matters, as well as relationship property, care of children and employment law disputes. Charlotte has advocated for clients in multiple jurisdictions (both locally and in different areas of. New Zealand) and enjoys taking a pragmatic approach while working with clients to achieve their desired outcomes. Charlotte regularly attends Court on behalf of her clients but also advises on risk management as well as general property or asset protection/succession matters. Charlotte’s practice areas include:Commercial contract disputes and negligence claims covering a wide variety of industries and issues. Family protection and estate litigation. Complex relationship property and trust disputes in respect of relationship or family matters including various Court applications. Applications for and defence of Protection Orders. Care of Children matters including international border alert applications and Court applications or responses Employment lawInsurance related disputesCharlotte graduated from the University of Otago in 2014 and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2015. Charlotte joined the Solomons team in 2017 and prior to Solomons worked at another Dunedin law firm for four years as a law clerk and two years as a solicitor. Charlotte has held several voluntary governance roles over the last decade and has served as a trustee or member of several charitable trusts and societies. Charlotte is currently a board member of iD Fashion Dunedin, the Otago MS Society Investment Trust and the Creative Arts Trust.
