Providing a Finance Business Service to a Research and Development division with an annual income of in excess of £20m and over 300 active studies. Assisting in securing funding from various commercial and non-commercial sources and providing information and advice to all research units to allow them to make informed decisions on the business they conduct. Main Achievements:-• Performed financial modelling and sensitivity analysis of the revenue implications (£1m per annum) of the opening of a new Clinical Research Facility, for consideration by Board members and other Executives. • Maximisation of income generated through both commercial and charitable streams for Research and Development.• Secured repeat funding (in excess of £15m) from Department of Health by ensuring money is spent in accordance with the stipulated conditions and by continually meeting deadlines imposed.• Redesigned financial information to facilitate emerging strategies.• System redesign to enhance data capture thereby strengthening the financial information available. • Forged strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
