I am extremely passionate about helping others work through their problems, which I believe will translate well to the field of Psychology. My eventual goal is to practice as a licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, and to be able to work with people on a daily basis.In terms of soft skills, including strong communication capabilities, leadership experience, and robust interpersonal skills. I have gained these attributes through group projects in academic settings, and from working in child-care where it is critical to establish lines of communications both with parents and my coworkers. I am also very proficient in professional and academic writing, a skill that I have gained from participating in Communication and Psychology courses at Florida Tech. I am still working on my practical skills for becoming a Mental Health Counselor. Because I am a freshman, I still need to gain further knowledge and real-world experience, which I hope to achieve through a Psychology internship.
