I have led or been an integral part of Google’s biggest bets, from the early days of Google+ to the Android juggernaut, and now, at the forefront of AI for marketers. I’ve defended Google against Tim Cook’s de-positioning of Android as a “toxic hellstew” by developing a new product, Google Play Protect, and am now focused on building business leaders’ trust in AI. I believe AI is a tool that, when paired with the unbounded potential of human insight and creativity, can drive a step change in growth. It’s my job to connect the design of our AI solutions with the needs of our users, ensuring that there are feedback and input loops in place to empower users with helpful controls. I thrive in complex and highly dynamic environments, for example tech and finance. During the Great Recession, I influenced multi-million dollar equity investments in US commercial banks. Today, I am steering the ship in product marketing for Google’s search monetization, following the explosion of generative AI. Shaping the business and product strategy and igniting transformation are two areas that energize me most. For Google’s largest revenue driver, Ads, I’ve influenced major monetization decisions on the product roadmap and I’ve helped drive a large cross-functional pivot towards customer centricity.I am a calm, compassionate, and pragmatic leader with a direct communication style.
