Uniquely, I figured out I wanted a career in dentistry at the age of 11 when undergoing a presentation at intermediate school and I haven't looked back since. The following years in secondary school, prior to explaining this, was "Is it you want to inflict pain on others?" or "Oh yes, it's the money you're looking into". In all honesty, the former is the complete opposite in describing who I am as a person - always rendering a guilty conscience over small events. Meanwhile, the latter is far from true as to this day I don't know the annual income for this occupation and I'm a final year student. My aim is to provide more preventive measures of dental hygiene and treatment in the more rural parts of the country, especially catering to the younger population including children and adolescents. I want to see a change in the oral health of our future generations.
