I am really passionate about working with people and property in the rural sector. Over my career so far I have been involved in almost all things rural allowing me to know a little about a lot! Dangerous, you may say, but in fact it has really helped me, to help you, think about the bigger picture. I can spot opportunities with your property and business but can also help you navigate problems that may arise, or hopefully prevent them from happening! Over the past 10 years I have specialised in strategic land promotion. This includes the sale and acquisition of development sites, the negotiation of heads of terms for option agreements, promotion agreements or hybrid agreements, for predominately residential development land. The negotiation of collaboration/equalisation agreements. The preparation and negotiation of viability assessments, the valuation of residential development land whether that be for secured lending, inheritance tax, capital gains tax and for private clients. In addition I advise clients on their general property matters. I help manage around 6,000 acres of contract farming and share farming agreements, providing budgets, cashflows and reconciliations, I advise on tenancies, licences, overages, restrictive covenants. I am well versed on the most up to date grant schemes and am involved in a lot of rural property sales in and around Shropshire and the surrounding counties. Whilst I am not in the office I am outside with our ever expanding flock of sheep, labrador and collie dog.
