Over the course of my internship as a Speaking Coach at Patch App I was responsible for providing conversation coaching with international lawyers to help develop their conversational skills with English clients.

My role as a student support coordinator consisted of a vast range of responsibilities. This included being the first port of call for online masters students for a variety of different universities both in the UK and internationally; answering emails in each inbox, answering calls, resolving issues as they arise and having communications with partners. As part of this role, I was also responsible for various administrative responsibilities including - payment chasing, invoicing, keeping records of students, creating study plans, and processing universities procedures.

After fulfilling my Seasonal Team Member fixed term contract with the Chichester branch of Oliver Bonas, I was given the opportunity to stay on with the team as a Team Member. I have enjoyed working with the team and gaining new experiences in a different branch of the company - and so I happily accepted.

During the festive period of 2023, I applied for a seasonal team member position at the Chichester branch of Oliver Bonas. With my history working for the company and my love for the brand this was a perfect opportunity to develop my skills and gain experience in another branch of the company. I have thoroughly enjoyed working at the Chichester branch, continuing working for the company, developing my product knowledge and being able to help customers in such an important time of the year.

During my time at Oxford Brookes reading Law I worked part time at Oliver Bonas in the Westgate Shopping Centre. This role centered heavily around customer service relations, helping customers find products, providing recommendations, researching products to know certain details about the product and its benefits, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order, keeping items presentable, ordering products if we did not have them, maintaining relationships with other stores, helping to set up displays to entice customers to buy certain products and assisting management with training new employees. I thoroughly enjoyed this role and learnt incomparable transferable skills whilst in this position. I left the role due to relocation after graduating university and hoping to progress into the legal profession.

Whilst conducting my 16-18 A-level studies I worked part time in my local Waitrose branch. During this time my principal role was on the Bakery and Café counter as well as helping with general duties on the shop floor such as assisting on tills at peak times. My role included opening the café, setting up appealing displays, having close contact with customers, preparing food and light bites, ensuring stock rotation, baking loaves and organizing schedules for the day to ensure products were available for customers at all times. Due to the nature of this role, I had to ensure I was in accordance with health and safety and food and hygiene guidelines. This role helped immensely develop my organisation skills, customer service skills, time management, communication ability and gave me a real insight of just how important effective team work is.
