As part of the Research Contracts Team within Research & Innovation Services (RIS), my role is to: - provide review, negotiation and execution of agreements in relation to research whether with industry, government departments or other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). - provide a professional interface between Faculty and/or external clients in relation to research contracts. - provide support to the research contract process operated by RIS, working closely with Research Contracts Team colleagues to streamline activities and ensure agreements are put in place in a timely manner.

As part of Research and Innovation Services (RIS), but embedded within the Faculty of Engineering and the Environment, my role is to:- provide specialist support designed to assist in maximising the Faculty’s research and enterprise performance - work with the Faculty, Associate Dean Research, and RIS colleagues to support a dynamic research and enterprise environment- provide Faculty staff with specialist, professional research support at the early stages of the research life-cycle (pre- and early post- award activities) - manage a portfolio of projects across the Faculty, ensuring that Faculty academic and support staff receive effective advice on the research funding landscape, bid development and draft proposals, and contractual and intellectual property matters- work collaboratively with other Professional Service colleagues to guide the Faculty through appropriate processes and procedures with a view to deliver a high quality and customer-focused service
