Director responsible for Strategic Planning and Research at the BOA. The team provided centralised cross-department support in ensuring that complex Olympic Games planning, business-as-usual operations and any new strategic initiatives were scoped and delivered in line with the BOA’s Strategic Plan and priorities. Also responsible for developing and driving the BOAs Environmental Sustainability Strategy and Social Impact Strategy, being passionate about how Team GB can play its part in helping to improve the health and wellbeing of the Nation through the power of Olympic sport.

Strategic Business Resilience, Preparedness and Response specialist with significant experience in Readiness Testing & Exercising, Crisis Management and Business Continuity Management. Experience spans a variety of industries, but most commonly the financial, sports industry (major multi-sport events), public and consumer business sectors. Focussed on delivering innovative and tailored risk-aligned solutions to help organisation's meet and exceed their strategic objectives and priorities.Gained a broad set of programme and project management skills and experiences in helping clients consider strategic risks, and as a result spent much of her time working with senior executives to help enhance levels of preparedness and resilience to an all-encompassing range of prioritised risk events. A a highly capable individual with proven experience of delivering high quality and innovative deliverables to the client whilst working to tight deadlines. Strengths lie in coordinating and communicating with multiple and senior stakeholders to deliver outcomes that meet/exceed the expectations of all involved. Proven ‘Readiness’ subject matter expert (SME) in the design and delivery of complex operational and strategic readiness simulation exercises, aimed at rehearsing and/or stress testing people, plans and processes. Involved in the delivery of over 150 exercises, ranging from simulated 'live' operational exercises, tactical table top exercises, to strategic global C-Suite simulations covering a wide range of risk events, aligned to evolving threat and regulatory landscapes.

Charlotte supported the BPA and ParalympicsGB to be best-ever prepared for the Rio 2016 Games environment and helped set a new standard of Games-readiness expectation for future Games. Prior to Rio Charlotte’s role was crucial in supporting Team-readiness for a very challenging Rio Paralympic environment including: input to the BPA’s Manager Development Programme; input to the Sport Team Leader Preparation Programme on the ground in the final Rio recce; leading on a half-day Games-readiness simulation at the final Team Development Workshop; providing essential support to the BPA Games Planning Group and particularly the Chef de Mission in Games-readiness planning and development of the Games-time Incident and Crisis Management Plan.During Games-time, Charlotte’s role was to support the Delegation as the ‘Games-time Reporting Manager’ as part of the BPA's senior leadership team. This required supporting coordination of all daily reporting, as well as being ‘on call’ to support the coordination and reporting of any incidents/ crisis events impacting the delegation in Rio. Charlotte was empowered to perform as another trusted senior leader, in support of the Chef de Mission and Secretary General, adding crucial skills and experience to what already is a high performing Games-focussed team.

Charlotte supported the BOA and TeamGB to be best-ever prepared for the Rio 2016 Games environment and helped set a new standard of Games-readiness expectation for future Games. This included working with the BOA Senior Leadership Team to understand their key operational risks, helping to re-write a comprehensive Incident and Crisis Management Plan, and delivering a full-day table top exercise, covering over 15 key scenarios with 20+ staff from the senior leadership and key operational management teams.

We are a specialist Urban Search and Rescue team responding to natural and man made disasters all over the world using specialist skills and equipment. Our mission is ‘United To Save Life’ and this ethos applies to every action of our volunteer specialists.After receiving a request for help, our aim is to mobilse a self-contained rescue team within minutes for UK missions or within 24 hours for overseas missions. We are registered with the United Nations allowing us to operate as a search and rescue team under their co-ordination in times of international disaster.We are supported entirely by donations made by the public and corporate sponsorship. Every penny goes towards saving lives as we do not employ staff in administration, fundraising or any other role in the Corps. We are a UK based charity and offer our services completely free of charge, whether in the UK or overseas.

Charlotte was operational during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games working in the Olympic Stadium as a Venue Protocol Team Leader based in the Olympic Family Lounge. In this role she was 1 of 3 Team Leaders on duty managing over 40 volunteers across the three restricted Protocol locations (Lounge, Stands and Transport Drop-Off Area). Due to her experience from LOCOG and understanding of the Olympic Family and Games Operations, Charlotte was given responsibility for managing the VIP stands on restricted evenings such as Super Saturday and Olympic and Paralympic Opening/Closing Ceremonies.

Charlotte gained in-depth knowledge of developing and implementing complex operational readiness programmes after working for 18 months in LOCOG’s Readiness Testing and Exercising Team (RTE) and in an operational capacity at Games-time. She helped to design and deliver a complex RTE programme which enabled the organising committee to be confident that all its functions, venues and people were ready and able to deliver a successful, safe and secure Games from Day 1. She supported the delivery of over 200 readiness activities to more than 1500 staff, including LOCOG, Delivery Partners, the IOC and government agencies. Within the RTE Programme, Charlotte managed a portfolio of five high-profile venues (Olympic Stadium, Greenwich Park, ExCeL, Hadleigh Farm and the Main Press Centre), the design and delivery of a LOCOG Crisis Management Team (CMT) simulation exercise (focussed on an unfolding crisis at the Greenwich Park Sport Test Event), as well as the IOC CMT – LOCOG CMT Readiness table top exercise (focussed on the coordinated response to key risk scenarios, e.g. brand ambush, anti-doping, missing athlete, operational crisis).Charlotte was operational during the Greenwich Park and Horse Guards Parade Olympic Test Events, as a Venue Communications Centre (VCC) Operator.

Charlotte worked in Local Government as an Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Officer for the London Borough of Camden. In this role she worked closely with the emergency services and central government policy makers to help fulfil the council's civil contingencies statutory responsibilities. Her role included developing, implementing, training and testing people, plans, processes and strategies as well as coordinating incident response teams and supporting the set-up and running of emergency control rooms during an incident.
