Children’s Commissioning work strategically to develop and shape the Trust’s approach to how services are delivered, how it works with partners, and which services are purchased externally. I have recently moved into the Placements Commissioning team where my role involves working with residential and supported accommodation providers to develop the right mix of services to meet the needs of children in line with our internal sufficiency plan. Due to my skillset, my focus is on quality assurance and contract management - providing support and challenge to practitioners and managers about the quality of practice for individual placements and overall contract compliance. I was the appointed Mental Health First Aider for the whole service and acted as the champion for mental health in my team. I was also a member of Coventry Haven Women’s Aid’s multi-agency DA Champions Network - delivering enhanced knowledge and influencing good practice, ensuring P3 Coventry are up to date with new legislation and ways of working to identify and support survivors.
