At my previous job at the Royal Academy of Arts, I worked in the Contract Publishing department and managed advertisement sales for a portfolio of magazines in art, culture, design and literature.Myself and Renata Molina Lopes, with whom I co ran the Contact Publishing business at the RA, launched Park Walk Media in February 2021 whilst England was still under lockdown. The RA had to, like most not-for-profit institutions, rethink its operations and in the process our department was closed.With our line director’s and the Academy’s blessing we approached each of our existing clients and are delighted that they all retained us under the new business. Since starting our venture, we have also been appointed to sell the advertising for two additional publications.
