About Charlotte Becker

As a student of Applied Nutrition at California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo, I’ve come to understand the profound privilege of being able to choose what we eat. Through my diverse experiences in the food industry, ranging from selecting patient meals in hospitals to crafting personalized culinary experiences in fine dining restaurants and observing ingredient choices in grocery stores, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the intimate relationship individuals have with their food. Currently, I’m embarking on a transition from culinary arts to dietetics, driven by my passion for nutrition, culinary creativity, behavioral change, and sustainable food systems. I’m excited to merge these interests and contribute to creating healthier, more sustainable food environments for individuals and communities.
