Way back in 2009 I worked for a small, family-run card & gift publisher. It was a lovely business with amazing products that sold in huge quantities. But when the credit crunch hit, the company suffered. Our indie retailer customer base suffered. In fact, our entire industry suffered. It was a difficult time. But in true “glass-half-full” fashion I believed there was some hope… & it could be found in the online world. I created a website called Card & Gift Network, with a mission to help the card & gift industry use this shiny new online world to reach new customers via something called “blogging”.Now you may be thinking “hmm a blog, not sure how that could help.”Well, bizarrely it does. I’ve seen first-hand how 1 blog post, leads to an enquiry, which leads to a sale of 300 products & £3,897.00 in revenue. & this happens over and over.
