Marine science research expeditions generate large volumes of complex multi-disciplinary data. To ensure the long-term availability of these datasets to scientists, policy makers, industry and the public, BODC quality controls, curates and makes them available for reuse through our website. This role involves processing the data through the complete date life cycle, from collection to making it available online for reuse by others. As Marine Data Manager, I work in a team of data managers to process a diverse range of marine research projects to ensure that the data we hold in BODC can be reused by others well into the future.
