Charlotte has held various leadership positions in the non-profit sector including Associate Development Director for Free Speech TV, Resource Development Director for Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana, Director of Philanthropy at Southern Rep Theatre, Development Director for the American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana, and the Development & Communications Director for the Juvenile Justice Project of Louisiana. She also served as the Assistant Director of Public Policy and Programs at the Newcomb College Center for Research on Women at Tulane University. Charlotte began her career in fundraising at Servicemembers Legal Defense Network where she worked as a Major Gifts Associate. She was a 2010-2011 American Express Fellow with the National Council for Research on Women’s Building the Next Generation of Women Leaders in the Nonprofit Sector, a presenter at the 2010 National Women’s Studies Association Conference, a participant in Tulane University’s Center for Public Service Nonprofit Strategy Institute, the Greater New Orleans Chapter 2012 Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Foundation Chamberlain Scholarship recipient, and a participant in the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s Development Community of Practice. Charlotte has also served as a board member for several New Orleans and Louisiana based organizations. Originally from Washington D.C., Charlotte is proud to have called New Orleans home for over 20 years.
