Collaborating with individuals from my team, other teams, and external partners at One Young World to coordinate a caucus event, handling the organisation and administration of logistics on the day. This includes liaising with societies, organising procurement and meetings (including taking minutes), and the overseeing of a team (ensuring their understanding of assigned tasks and timely completion). Furthermore, adhering to budgetary constraints, making sure to examine various options to ensure selection of the most cost-effective choice.

Conducted independent research into the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, and the effectiveness of BANES’ businesses and council to successfully action these goals, namely through thematic analysis, stakeholder mapping and searching for and through data, to summerise extensive documents into an easily digestible report. Furthermore, I liaised with contacts at BANES council to confirm findings from any unclear reports. I reviewed numerous strategic plans of a large humanitarian organisation to determine the extent to which various themes are considered (by country).

My role aims to provide support for first-year university of Bath students in any area that they may require - eg. housing, financial, academic, relationships, time management etc.

Working alongside the university, we promote higher education to those from areas of low higher education participation rates. We explain the different opportunities they have, such as different schemes set up by the university and financial support available, as well as assist them with all and any questions. By doing this, we hope to assist in the increase of higher education rates in areas of disadvantage.
