I am an experienced Senior Solicitor with a well-deserved reputation for excellence, featured in the Legal 500 noted as having "a wealth of experience and passion".I responded on behalf of those struggling as a result of the legal aid cuts and set up a pro bono legal advice clinic in east Manchester. The clinic has featured in many publications including the MEN and the GMBW. I have received recognition from the legal community being shortlisted for Northern Power Woman, Rising Star of the Year, Mentor of the year and previously Trainee Solicitor of the Year. I am passionate about charity and have acted as trustee of 'Helping Uganda Schools' for the last 8 years which aims to reduce poverty in Uganda through education. In addition I am an ambassador for Forever Manchester who supports the local communities in Greater Manchester. TrusteeHelping Uganda Schools Sep 2010 - Sep 2018I was elected trustee of Helping Uganda Schools (HUGS) in November 2010.The charities ethos is to help provide education in Uganda to combat poverty. To date the charity has built a primary and secondary school named St Zoe's, and also as a pioneering venture commissioned a special needs school called Good Shepherd.I travelled over to Uganda in 2009 and since then have independently coordinated 10 corporate golf events raising £100,000, as well as various other fundraisers. Going forward we have now extended our assistance to a school in Rwanda which we hope will assist in integrating all tribal groups and different faith groups after the terrible genocide.

ChairManchester Trainee Solicitors Group Sep 2012 - Aug 2013ManchesterI Chaired the Manchester Trainee Solicitors Group (MTSG). The MTSG has a membership of around 500 trainees and paralegals from firms of all types and sizes across the Greater Manchester area. Its aim is to introduce trainees to professional life in Manchester and provide support through their training contracts. I chaired the 22 person committee and co-ordinated the various activities of the MTSG throughout the year including monthly social events, Christmas and Summer balls, sporting events and educational activities. I introduced several new initiatives to the MTSG during my tenure including the MTSG monthly newsletter and also the introduction of Manchester's pupils into the membership.I also represented Manchester Trainees at monthly meetings with the Manchester Law Society and was the first port of call for organisations that want to work with the MTSG. I regularly contributed to the Manchester Law Society's monthly magazine 'The Messenger' and had an active role in policy, meeting with the local national Law Society representatives, lobbying organisations and bodies who want to promote Manchester.
