My graduation project (2014) was aimed at reframing the view on research at the university college degree of Productdesign (academic Master of Arts at MAD-faculty, BE). The starting point for this project was a negative evaluation of the degree's academic focus. Using the Reframing methodology, I developed a new vision on artistic research from a student's perspective. The result was a framework centering around the construction of students' design identity as a continuous process. The model connected the three main sources and results of inspiration: 'me as a designer', 'the way I design' and 'my design'. A secondary outcome of the project was 'Snapshot', a speculative installation and interface enabling design students to reflect on their design identity.
