In my role as Parliamentary Secretary at HM Treasury, I led on all legislative and non-legislative Treasury business in the House of Lords. I also had departmental policy-making responsibilities for ESG in financial services, Green Finance, International climate finance, certain Environmental Taxes, Economic Security, Financial Sanctions and Trade policy. I represented HMG at high-profile events such as COP28 in Dubai and the OECD Ministerial Council in Paris, where I spoke on Sustainable Growth and AI, and represented HMT at COBR meetings, Cabinet sub-Committees including National Security Committees, and Small Ministerial Groups.
