Four World Championships hosted in one venue. It was the biggest sport event ever hosted in Denmark with participation of 700 athletes from 50 nations, 153,000 spectators and more than 200 million viewers worldwide. We were a dedicated team of 30 full time employees and more than 800 volunteers that put our hearts into making it the best equestrian world championships to date. A true team effort. I was heading up marketing (a team of 5) with a goal of creating an exceptionel experience for athletes and visitors and not least excellent value for Denmark, Herning, sponsors, FEI and the equestrian world. Commercial goals for ticket sales and merchandise were exceeded. We successfully used digital marketing strategies (a combination of organic and paid social, paid search and influencer marketing) to secure conversions. We also developed two apps (one for volunteers and one for visitors) which contributed to a full immersion brand experience - from airport arrival to venue as well as in Herning city. -
