This position is responsible for developing, organization of and management of all aspects of the lending department for the application of a banking charter for The Trust Company of Sterne Agee. Duties include developing procedures for and managing process and personnel to originate, process, underwrite, close and sell FNMA, FHLMC conforming and non-conforming saleable whole loans as well as all other potential loan products anticipated for a specialty bank wholly owned by a $23 Billion Financial Services Firm. Also, I was responsible for regulatory compliance and quality control of the loans produced as well as product development and managing the lending personnel.

Responsibilities include organizing and managing all aspects of residential real estate construction and mortgage lending, as well as organizing department and managing department personnel for a De-Novo chartered bank. This includes originating, processing, underwriting, closing and selling FNMA, FHLMC, FHA VA and USDA loan products, construction and construction/perm loans as well as bank portfolio loans. I was responsible for managing a loan portfolio of over $40,000,000.00 including portfolio maintenance, problem loan work outs and collections. In addition, I was responsible for compliance and quality control and maintaining investor relations.

This included new product development, originating, processing, underwriting, closing and selling of FNMA, FHLMC, VA, USDA, construction and bank portfolio loans, as well as developing a loan portfolio that grew in a short time to over $9,000,000.00 before I left. I was responsible for compliance and quality control and maintaining investor relations.

Responsibilities in this position included directing, managing and coordinating the sales force, warehouse personnel and office staff of a small Fluid Power Distribution company. I was also responsible for maintaining relationships with manufacturers that were represented by the company and for inventory management and control of stock.
