2024 Is a year for expanding into uncharted territory. I have moved out of the automotive and entered into packaging and shipping products with a plastic manufacturer in Corona CA, TRM Manufacturing. I started Henley Sales & Marketing Inc. Feb 23rd, 2003 to perform sales, marketing and brand development for a specialize list of innovative, quality, automotive manufactures. I was instrumental working with the founders of BAK Industries growing from $2m in 2003 to $82m in 2013 and the successful acquisition by Truck Hero. I remain well connected in all channels of the automotive aftermarket with distributors, dealers, e-com and OEM. I have specialized skills in social media and lifestyle branding that creates "sizzle" driving brand recognition and sales across all channels.

I have worked in the Automotive Industry for 35 years at every level. I have worked in all channels from retail, wholesale distribution, manufacturing and online to build brands and create demand for all types of automotive products. • Provided strategic direction and leadership to a 3-member DSM team in driving direct dealer sales across the Western Region (including west of the Rockies and Western Canada) following a rapid promotion from Southwest Regional Sales Manager.• Planned, executed, and managed dealer sales strategies, marketing and merchandising programs, and channel partnerships to drive continuous growth in regional sales and market share while maintaining dealer loyalty. • Collaborated with dealers and internal stakeholders (including sales, operations, customer service, and supply chain) to streamline distribution, resolve delays and quality issues, and maintain business continuity under challenging market conditions such as COVID.• Devised and implemented processes and tools to optimize the product lifecycle, order processing, and inventory management across the dealer network, including creating a lead time chart and production scheduling tools to ensure FIFO order processing.• Consulted with and advised corporate leadership on multiple product development, product marketing, supply chain, and sales operations initiatives, including:

• Directed the design, development, and launch of an ecommerce site in just 3 months to drive sales of 80+ unique tonneau cover products for 50+ truck models (with hundreds of thousands of fitment configurations).• Worked with a US management team and an Indian development team to develop the site map, flows, and back end while personally formatting all content, images, videos, size, and layout for each brand/product page and improving SEO to optimize user experience

• Delivered strategic guidance and subject matter expertise to the new ownership of BAK Industries (Truck Hero) on all aspects of the business, including operations, sales and marketing, lifestyle branding, product design and innovation, and market penetration.• Trained and coached the Truck Hero marketing team on BAK’s unique lifestyle branding and ecommerce strategies as well as its guerrilla marketing methods, resulting in BAK becoming the fastest-growing acquisition within the Truck Hero organization.• Devised and implemented targeted account development and dealer networking strategies to engage and onboard dealers across all channels in North America while retaining BAK’s 2 largest ecommerce clients following the acquisition• Created impactful, cost-effective social media and video content that highlighted the utility and seasonality of the product and drove audience engagement across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Amazon, URL direct sales websites, and other channels.

• Played a key leadership role involving strategic business planning, sales/go-to-market strategy execution, new product development, brand positioning, product marketing and merchandising, Lean manufacturing, quality controls, and dealer relationship management.• Engaged directly with the co-founders of the company and across all levels of the organization to drive strategies, programs, and partnerships that fostered operational excellence, product innovation, customer success, and sustainable margins. • Led the development and implementation of a successful trademark licensing and MAP program that prevented margin erosion and maintained profitability for partners across all sales channels. • Advised and provided technical expertise to leadership on new product concepts and designs (including the market-leading BAKFlip hard folding tonneau cover), in addition to designing and building showroom displays used by brick-and-mortar dealer partners.• Liaised closely with the owners to develop new content, product catalogs, fitment data, images, and videos to promote BAK products, including photographing and producing most of the lifestyle imagery used by BAK’s ecommerce partners.• Built the strongest brick-and-mortar dealer network in the tonneau cover category, comprising 6.5K specialty truck accessory dealers spanning the 3-step distribution, ecommerce, brick-and-mortar retail, and OEM channels across North America.• Developed OEM partnerships to drive new product development and launches, including working with the Ford Licensed Accessory Program and supporting the launch of GM OEM covers.
