My interests are in epigenetics/genomics, cancer biology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. I would like to understand how perturbations in the epigenome lead to aberrant gene expression programs in cancer. Ultimately, I hope to use this information to uncover vulnerable pathways for targeted therapy. During my postdoc, I have also worked closely with Dr. Carl June’s group to uncover mechanisms driving CAR T cell exhaustion in solid tumors (Cell, 2021). My research uses epigenetic and genomic single cell approaches including scRNA-seq and scATAC-seq to identify transcription factors and epigenetic regulators that can be manipulated in CAR T cells to improve CAR T cell therapy.
