As a leader in the area of learning and teaching and the use of technologies to assist in engaging and enabling students, this role included the teaching of a number of courses within the school such as Emerging Technologies in Business. Research included working with colleagues on an initiative to enable academic staff to more readily infuse relevant and appropriate technologies into their teaching through the development of learning objects to assist in lectures, tutorials and assessment. Courses taught included Emerging Technologies, Electronic Commerce, Information Systems, and Project Management.Research and publication involved work with colleagues from several schools within the University on a large project involving the use of mobile and virtual technologies to engage primary and secondary students. The project collaborated with areas of the University such as tourism, geology, and the arts.
