During my 6-month internship, I assisted in conducting community garden sessions with clients from IMH and volunteers. Additionally, I supported community engagement and outreach projects focused on facilitating clients' rehabilitation. One example will be the collaboration with secondary school students in the Art Elective Programme on a mural painting project for the community garden, designed to enhance the garden's vibrancy and raise awareness about mental health through interactions between clients and students during the painting sessions. I was also given the opportunity to visit various social enterprises and communities to observe collaborations aimed to benefit the clients. Through this experience, I developed valuable skills in understanding and communicating with individuals with mental illness and learned the importance of outreach and education.
