I am an Assistant Professor at Handong Global University, Korea. My background is in statistical machine learning and its applications to healthcare data, where the general requirements for model accuracy, reliability, and explainability are very high. My interests lie in solving large and complex data-driven problems using statistical data analytics and machine learning techniques in practical manners, such as:* Customizing generic machine learning methodologies to address domain-specific tasks, including analysis and curation of structured/unstructured data, decision support via structured prediction, and outlier/anomaly detection in complex data* Developing domain-independent methods and software tools for data analysis, predictive modeling, and their utilization in decision making
